2017 Bead-A-Thon Gets Rolling

The 2017 Penguins playoff run starts on 4/12/17. We have a guarded optimism going into this year's playoff run. That's what we had last year. And, look what happened!

Again this year, we are participating in the Penguins Beard A Thon to raise money for the Mario Lemieux Foundation. This charity supports many great causes including The Children's Home of Pittsburgh.

The Children’s Home is one of our favorite charities because I was adopted from there (as was my brother and sister). If it weren’t for the Children’s Home, I simply wouldn’t have my family and my wonderful parents. And, the Children’s Home continues to do great work today-decades after I left there as a baby.

Anyway, growing my beard until the Penguins win the Stanley Cup (or are knocked out of the playoffs) is the continuation of a long hockey tradition. So, this a true Win-Win. We support the Pens and we support two great causes.
